Child Find The RSU 67 school system has the responsibility to locate, evaluate and identify any child residing in its jurisdiction who is in need of special education services or those accommodations and services provided through Section 504. The school system has special education programs that provide services for eligible children with disabilities including autism, deaf-blindness, emotional disturbance, hearing impairment, intellectual disability, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairment, other health impairment, specific learning disability, speech or language impairment, traumatic brain injury, visual impairment, or developmental delay who require special education because of their disability. Section 504 provides reasonable accommodations and services to eligible children who have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity. If you suspect your child has a disability and may need special education services or 504 accommodations, or you would like additional information, please contact your child's teacher, building principal or special services director.
